Christian: Ciao a tutti e benvenuti al primo episodio del nostro podcast. Welcome everyone to our first episode of E-Language podcast! I will be your teacher!

Noelia: And I will be a good student and I’ll take down notes!

Christian: Great, so shall we begin?

Noelia: Let’s go!

Chrisian: Today we will take the first steps into Italian language. Parli italiano? Do you speak Italian?

Noelia: Yes, a little bit!

Christian: Allora, si, un po’. Yes, a little bit, or else you can say: No, non parlo italiano.

Christian: Noelia, raccontaci, perché studi italiano? So, Noelia, why do you study Italian?

Noelia: Because it’s a language I love and also because my husband is Italian.

Christian: Allora, perché mi piace tantissimo la lingua e perché mio marito è italiano…Wait, wait, Noelia, please let’s tell us who is your husband? … It's me!

Noelia: Haha yes, it’s you!

Christian: Allora Noelia, che cosa ti piace inoltre dell'Italia o della lingua italiana? What do you like about Italy or Italian language? Noelia: Well, I love Italian food, especially risotto, and the country is so incredibly beautiful!

Christian: Bene, quindi, amo la cucina italiana, specialmente il risotto, e il paese è bellissimo.

Noelia: Christian I have a question… I knew "paese" means town or village, but with "paese" you meant the country, right? I'm a little bit confused…

Christian: bella domanda Noe! Great question… so "paese" means country and village, it depends on which contest you are. Dipende dal contesto.

Noelia: ahh, now I understand, thank you! Oh, wait, wait…grazie!

Christian: Prego! Noelia, Ti posso chiedere qual è la tua città italiana preferita? May I ask you which is your favorite Italian city? Noelia: mmm I think, io penso, Firenze.

Christian: Allora...I guess Florence! Thank you so much, Noelia!

Noelia: Wait a second. What about your Italian city?

Christian: Allora… ho tante città preferite… nelle prossime puntate parleremo di queste città! So, in the next episodes we will talk about these Italian cities!
